Name check and fingerprint check are different. Fingerprints are generally getting cleared next day. Not the same with namecheck.

By the time I got denial notice during October 2007, I received EAD. So I have assumed that there is no need to convert back to H4 and started working on EAD continuing the same project. Do you think I'm in critical situation? Please advise me. I'm panic. My husband's H1B visa is also over by February 2008 and he started working on EAD by changing his employer. His former employer did not cooperate with him to extend his H1B visa as he might have thought he will leave hime soon on AC21. Please help me.

IV is so diverse, and mostly anonymous. Quoting one of the greatest persons in history is fine in theroy. But please practice it.
First and formost, don't become 'touch me not' and withdraw. I am sure you will. Taking umbrage against posts shouldn't turn oneself off, if service, sharing and co-operation is the driving motive.
I have seen much water flown under the bridge, here at IV, at work and in personal life. We are all here for the avoidable 'injustices' going on against EB based folks: in visa stamping to AOS.
The whole gamut. Let's say - if most are are turned off (however personal it may be), there is no zest, no life; a place is Sahara, Thar or Gobi would be a perfect place.
Hope you will take in the right spirit. Got to go. Reaaly going to get unhooked from IV for today.

I will share what I know - IV folks ridiculed me when I said my info from the Ombudsman's office was true. They simply don't want people who have a slightly variant info to raise a voice. I have not personally heard from the O's office on this as I sent my application out on Friday for a Monday delivery without any knowledge of such possibility. If it happens it will really stink...to those who call Ombudsman the barking dog - think before you say - he may have just saved us from loosing 40K visas. Possibly the dates were made current only to clear pre-adjudicated cases. And if thats true, guess what? A window will open again in October. Thats better than where we were without the O's report that may have not impacted anything and the 40K cases ahead of us would still be pending. Its in our greater interest that they get approved and we move up the ladder versus we trying to cry wolf. My 2 cents...
Something to ponder: "Gandhi's peace marches did not get Independence to India alone. They were radical movements of many people behind it equally responsible if not more. IVs movement is the peaceful one - important but not enough and definitely not filled with exclusivity"

Also, if you are planning to start on your own you can only have a 'C' corporation but there will be two levels of taxation, meaning first the corporation's income will be taxed and then individual's income.
Whereas, if you partner with a US Citizen or a permanent resident you can start a 'S' corporation which only has single level of taxes.
But in my opinion if carefully thought and executed it still is worth it, as you would get some postive cashflow (hopefully), if you sit idle nothing. :)

I trust IV core members 99% for their efforts. But the remaining 1% does not come from the fear that IV is corrupt financially. It comes from the lack of information. If IV does not let the members know about their plans, how many members do the core expect to trust them and make an almost blind contribution? I suggest that members who want to contribute do the following.

4. IV email you or mail you the ongoing plan.

I find that fireworks mx is really cool for doing what you are trying to do if you can get your hands on it. Oh yeah and I think you should antialias the text a little bit. If you want honest opinions....I think the image could use a little jazzing up....Try this:
Find a nice big panoramic image like of a beach or something.. Then give it a real big gaussian blur (so that you cannt recoginze what it was)......U should already notice it looks similar to a gradient. 2. The give it a strong motion blur to the left or right (to soften the image) 3. Then do a an adjustment...hue.....and play with the saturation and settings. (You should have a pretty nice gradient looking abstract at this point). 4. Then duplicate the layer and play with that layers blend mode. I find luminosity to be cool but find one to suit your needs. That will make your text and image seem more interesting....right now it looks kinda dead in the water......I find gradients by themselves to be boring this day in age (most of the time). Let me know if you need a more indepth tutorial....this one was kinda weak but....hey

I filed my application on July27th. I completed my FP on Oct 10th but haven't receive any news on EAD. My online status is still "Case received and Pending". It is mentioned on the USCIS website that the USCIS needs to provide EAD within 90 days of the filing as mandated by law [8 CFR 247a.13(d)].

The H1B transfer should be ok based on the fact this person is with in 6 years. If the transfer is after 6 years based on either LC pending or LC and I-140 approved. The same should hold good for the transfer.
This will not affect the greencard process even if USCIS finds this person changed jobs using H1B. The greencard is filed for future permanent job. According to USCIS, the term permanent means FOREVER. They can revoke the approved greencard if you change jobs immediately after approval.
If you indend to change jobs use AC21 before greencard approval or wait for a year after the greencard approval.

I had my FP done yesterday (Sep 27). My notice date is Aug 28th on 485 and I received FP notice in the first week of september.
I think you should call them immediately as you should have not only gotten you FP notice by now but also got your FP done.

I visited the SSN office with My I797, State ID and Passport : SSN officer straightforwardly rejected as I dont have my EAD card.
The Officer asked me to visit USCIS office to apply for EAD.
Please help me with this situation..Does a H1 get an EAD and then a SSN?

Sounds like someone at SSN office who may not know much about immigration.
If your I 797 came with attached I94, then you certainly can apply for SSN card. Just ask for supervisor at the SS office and talk to them.
If your I 797 does not have attached I 94 (meaning that you are still in H4 status), then I do not know for sure what the procedure would be to apply for SS card.
