Friends - anyone here who has applied in PERM where job required B.S + 2 - 4 yrs of experience? Mine is a Job zone 4(sr. software engineer), requires B.S + 30 months and in the PERM form the lawyer has entered 'No' to H12 question 'Is this normal requirements'. Were they right? Or should I be worried? Anybody can share any experience? Thanks!

This is the latest update as of Tuesday, April 6, 2010, Vermont Service Center, as of close of business on Monday, April 5, 2010, VSC had received a total of 9,525 cap-subject H-1B petitions. Of those petitions, 6,791 were "regular" cap, and 2,734 were advanced degree. All cases received before April 7, 2010, will have an April 7, 2010 receipt date. Those received on April 7, 2010 or later will bear the actual receipt date. For those submitted for Premium Processing, the clock will start on April 7, 2010. In above link, how is it possible to have pending I-485 (EB2) for 2008 & 2009 for India? If i remember correctly the priority date for India has reached upto Jul 2007 only so far.

Hello,
My wife had misplaced her AP summer of last year when she was out of the country. She then entered back on Transportation letter however at poe the immigration officer assumed she was a resident misplaced her resident card and stamped her passport as LPR. Since her entry back in the summer of last year we have gained an extension of H4 status for 3 years. I am getting ready to file for a new AP and would like to know if I should writeH4 as her "Class of Submission" or LPR or AP

Hello
I am in AOS with priority date of EB2 Dec 2006. We are moving out of USA due to spouse getting a job outside of USA. If we want to retain our priority date and green card, what are we supposed to do before and after we leave USA?
In case we want to make temporary visits to the USA, do we have to apply for visitor visa? I am assuming that we will not have AP since we are not inside USA. Will we even get a visitor/business visa since we have an immigrant visa which is pending with USCIS?

July 2nd - Wife and I applied for 485\EAD\AP
The lawyer sent a single check(I know !!! I know !!!)
Our applications got separated.
Mine came back on Aug 30th and my wifes last week
We have now refiled
This time it has gone for "special handling"-bypassing the mail room
I haven't got the receipt yet
Anyone who had a similar experience or went via special handling for some other reason...
How long does it take to get the receipt nowadays ?
(I couldn't see any receipt update on USCIS- I guess most of the people are past that stage)
Will special-handling speed up my Receipt OR EAD OR AP?

You can shift to new employer and start the GC process again. The approved I-140 is useful to retain the PD if not revoked. Otherwise no use.

I'm new at this forum and am hoping someone would be able to shed some light on my dilemma. My labor certification is currently under supervised recruitment. I checked the America's Job Bank website and found my ad, but the job description in it contained only the part according to O*Net occupation description. The form ETA-750 had some additional job requirements posted by the employer, which were omitted in the AJB ad. I'm afraid with the current ad at AJB they'll get tons of applications.
Can someone advice what shall I do?
